Miles Overview
The S-Class is Mercedes-Benz's flagship sedan, the one that sets the standard for full-size luxury cars. The ride is exceptionally smooth, soaking up bumps with a gentleness that makes long trips a pleasure. Inside, the cabin is spacious and plush, with comfortable seats and thoughtful touches like heated seats and a sunroof. Expect electrical gremlins and pricey repairs as it ages, and the premium fuel adds to running costs. The S 500 is the more accessible V8 S-Class, with the S 600 adding a V12 and more standard equipment. Its 5.0L V8 makes 302 horsepower and pairs with a five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, returning 17 mpg combined.
