Miles Overview
The 2003 SLK-Class is Mercedes' compact two-seat roadster, the one with the folding hardtop that turns coupe into convertible at the push of a button. It's a genuinely fun little car to hustle down a back road, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels eager without being harsh. The cabin wraps you in leather and wood, but it's snug, and with the top down the trunk shrinks to about a purse's worth of space. Owners mention the roof seals wearing and letting in a drip, and the hardtop mechanism occasionally needing realignment after years of use. With 215 horsepower from the 3.2L V6 and rear-wheel drive, the SLK 320 pulls eagerly from low revs and makes the folding hardtop feel like a genuine sports car, not just a cruiser.
