Miles Overview
The SLK-Class is Mercedes' compact two-seat roadster, the one with the folding hardtop that was a party trick back in 2000. It's a small car that feels eager and nimble, with enough punch to make every on-ramp a little more fun than it needs to be. The cabin is snug but nicely finished, with leather seats and a wood console that give it a proper Mercedes feel. Owners mention the top seals can wear and let in a drip, and the retractable roof may need realignment after a decade or so. The SLK 230 is the starting trim, with a smaller engine than the SLK 320 but still gives you the folding hardtop and that classic roadster fun. Its 2.3L I4 makes 185 horsepower and 200 lb-ft of torque, paired with a five-speed manual for a connected, rev-happy drive around town, and it returns 22 mpg combined.
