2007 Dodge Sprinter 2500

This is Dodge's rebadged Mercedes-Benz Sprinter, the tall, boxy van that dominated the full-size cargo and passenger market long before the current wave of vans. It drives like the commercial vehicle it is, with a tall seating position, a tight turning circle, and a ride that's more about stability than comfort. The cabin is utilitarian and built for work, with hard plastics, a high roof, and a vast cargo area that swallows whatever you throw in. Its real strength is practicality, with a huge payload, sliding side doors, and a rear door that opens wide for loading. The 2500 is the lighter-duty Sprinter, the one to pick if you don't need the 3500's extra payload but still want the tall roof and diesel. Its 3.0L V6 pairs with a five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, giving you enough torque to haul a loaded van without feeling strained. The 2500 rides on coil springs at all four corners, which keeps the ride manageable when empty but means a firmer feel over bumps than the 3500's leaf springs.
