Miles Overview
The i3 is BMW's compact electric hatchback, the one with the tall, narrow body and rear-hinged back doors. It's quick off the line and feels nimble in town, with a rear-wheel-drive layout that's rare among EVs. Inside, the cabin feels airy and modern, with sustainable materials and a spacious front row. Cargo space is versatile for a small car, but rear-seat legroom is tight and the rear doors are awkward. The 120Ah w/Range Extender splits the difference between the pure-electric 120Ah and the sportier s trims, adding a small gas engine to ease range anxiety. Its 0.6L I2 plug-in hybrid pairs with a continuously variable automatic (CVT) for 170 horsepower and 184 lb-ft of torque, good for 31 mpg combined once the battery is depleted.
