The i4 is BMW's electric answer to the Tesla Model 3 and the Audi e-tron GT, a gran coupe with a hatchback tail. It drives with the composure you'd expect from a BMW, blending quick steering with a planted feel that makes it easy to place on a twisty road. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-built, with supportive seats and a large touchscreen running BMW's latest iDrive system. The hatchback opens to a generous cargo area, and the rear seats fold down for extra space when you need it. The eDrive35 is the entry point to the i4 range, sitting below the eDrive40 and xDrive40 and giving up some power and range for a lower starting price. Its single rear motor makes 282 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, good for a 5.8-second 0-60 mph run and a claimed 276 miles of range.
