Miles Overview
It's quick in a straight line and handles with real precision, though the ride is firm and the cabin is noisy at speed. The cabin feels futuristic with its layered dash and digital displays, but rear seats are tight and best left for kids or cargo. A futuristic plug-in hybrid powertrain and scissor doors set the i8 apart from every other BMW in the 2014 lineup. Its 1.5L I3 plug-in hybrid and electric motors combine for 362 horsepower, and the all-wheel drive gives it tenacious grip off the line.
