Miles Overview
The i5 is BMW's electric mid-size sedan, the zero-emission take on the 5 Series. Inside, you get a clean, modern cabin with a curved display and plenty of room for four adults. Charging at home keeps running costs low, but public fast charging can add up. Stepping up to the xDrive40 from the eDrive40 adds a second motor for all-wheel drive and a boost to 389 horsepower, making it the middle ground between the base car and the M60. The all-wheel drive setup gives you sure-footed traction in rain or snow, and the 266 miles of range means you can go from Boston to New York without stopping to charge.
