Miles Overview
The 2008 M3 is BMW's high-performance compact sports sedan, also offered as a coupe and convertible. It's a driver's car through and through, with razor-sharp steering and a chassis that rewards confidence on a back road. Inside, the cabin is snug but well-built, with supportive seats and a clean layout that puts the focus on driving. Owners mention that maintenance can be pricey, and the car is less composed in the rain, so expect to budget for upkeep. The M3 convertible trades the coupe's fixed roof for open-air driving, adding a power-folding hardtop that keeps the silhouette clean when closed. The extra weight of the folding roof and structural bracing pushes 4,145 pounds to 4,145 pounds, so the convertible feels a touch heavier than the sedan through fast corners.
