2012 BMW M3 Base

The 2012 M3 is BMW's high-performance version of the 3 Series, offered as a coupe or convertible. It's a thrilling car to drive, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels perfectly balanced. Inside, you get supportive sport seats and a driver-focused cockpit, though rear space is tight. Owners mention that tires wear quickly and maintenance can be pricey, but the engine is known to be durable. This Base coupe gives you the full M3 experience with the manual transmission and standard carbon-fiber roof, skipping the heavier convertible top and electronic dampers. Its free-revving 4.0L I8 produces 414 horsepower, and with the six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive, it rewards smooth shifts and keeps the weight low at 3,704 pounds. You can option the M3 with the Competition package for stiffer springs and unique wheels, but the Base's ride is already well-sorted for daily driving.
