Miles Overview
The M8 is BMW's top-tier grand tourer, offered as a coupe, convertible, or sedan. It's a car that shrinks around you on a back road, with sharp steering and a chassis that stays flat through fast corners. The ride is firm even in Comfort mode, but that stiffness pays off with the body control you get at speed. Inside, the cabin is snug but beautifully built, with supportive seats and the latest iDrive screen. Extra power and standard all-wheel drive set the Competition apart from the standard M8. Its 4.4L I8 makes 617 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, routed through a eight-speed automatic to all four wheels. The Competition's chassis tune is stiffer than the base M8's, which sharpens turn-in at the expense of some low-speed compliance.
