Miles Overview
The M8 is BMW's flagship performance coupe, convertible, and Gran Coupe, going up against the Mercedes-AMG GT and Porsche 911. The ride is firm in Sport mode, but the adaptive dampers smooth things out nicely when you switch to Comfort. Inside, you get a luxurious cabin with supportive seats and plenty of tech, though rear space is tight in the coupe and convertible. The Competition Gran Coupe is the four-door M8 for buyers who need back-seat room the coupe and convertible don't offer. Its 4.4L I8 makes 600 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, sent through eight-speed automatic to all four wheels, with the EPA rating 17 mpg combined. The Gran Coupe's longer wheelbase gives it a more settled highway ride than the two-door M8, without sacrificing the sharp handling.
