Miles Overview
The E39 M5 is the sedan that proved a four-door could hang with the best sports cars of its era. It corners flat and communicates every surface through the wheel, making back roads feel like a racetrack. The cabin is driver-focused with supportive sport seats and a clean, businesslike layout that still feels special. Running costs are steep, especially for the clutch and VANOS system, but the driving reward is unmatched. Its 4.9L I8 makes 394 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque, and the six-speed manual is a joy to row through the gears on any road.
