Miles Overview
The M3 is BMW's high-performance version of the 3 Series, offered as a coupe or convertible for 2005. It's a genuinely quick car that loves to rev, and the steering feels direct and connected to the road. The chassis is stiff and the suspension is firm, so it corners flat and inspires confidence, though the ride is on the harsh side. Owners report that the SMG transmission can be expensive to fix, and interior trim pieces may crack in hot climates. The Base trim is the only M3 coupe offered for 2005, and it's the lighter, more focused choice versus the convertible. Expect fuel economy around 17 mpg combined, which is the price you pay for that high-revving inline-six.
