2018 BMW M4 Base

The M4 is BMW's high-performance version of the 4 Series, offered as a coupe or convertible. It's seriously quick, and the chassis feels balanced and eager through corners. The cabin feels upscale, but rear headroom is tight and the trunk is modest. Expect higher insurance, fuel, and maintenance costs than a standard 4 Series. Stepping up to the M4 convertible from the coupe adds open-air driving but also extra weight from the reinforced structure. It uses the same 3.0L I6 with 425 horsepower and a six-speed manual, sending power to the rear wheels. The convertible's extra bracing adds weight, so the steering feels a touch less immediate than the coupe's.
