2020 BMW M4 Base

The M4 is BMW's performance coupe, the two-door version of the M3 that's built for track days and spirited weekend drives. It's a sharp, rear-drive sports car that rewards a confident right foot, and the steering feels direct and talkative. The ride is firm even in Comfort mode, but that stiffness pays off with flat, composed cornering on back roads. Inside, the cabin is snug but well built, with supportive seats and a clean layout that puts the controls where you want them. The base M4 is the purest way into the coupe, with the same 3.0L I6 and 425 horsepower as the Competition but a six-speed manual gearbox and standard adaptive suspension. The base trim skips the Competition's extra power and stiffer tune, but the adaptive dampers still let you dial between daily comfort and track-ready firmness.
