Miles Overview
The 2016 M4 is BMW's high-performance two-door, offered as a coupe or convertible and aimed squarely at the Mercedes-AMG C63 and Audi RS5. It's brutally quick in a straight line, yet the chassis feels balanced and eager through corners, making it a genuine thrill on a back road. Inside, the cabin feels upscale with high-quality materials and supportive seats, but rear headroom is tight and the trunk is modest for a car this size. The GTS is the top M4, with more power and a track-focused setup than the standard M4 and the M4 Competition. Its turbocharged 3.0L I6 makes 493 horsepower and sends it to the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic, so it's ferociously quick off the line. You get adjustable coil-over suspension and carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, so it's ready for track days right out of the gate.
