Miles Overview
The 2019 M2 is BMW's compact performance coupe, the one enthusiasts cross-shop with the Audi TT RS and Mercedes-AMG CLA 45. It's a rear-drive coupe that loves to be pushed, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels playful at the limit. The ride is firm, especially in the Competition trim, but that's the trade for how flat it stays through corners. The cabin is snug but well built, with supportive sport seats and a simple layout that puts the driver first. A firmer suspension, bigger brakes, and the 405 horsepower version of the 3.0L I6 set the Competition apart from the standard M2. The six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive make this coupe a pure driver's car, and you'll shift often to keep the engine on boil. The Competition's adaptive dampers and exhaust button let you soften the ride or sharpen the sound at will.
