Miles Overview
The 6 Series is BMW's grand-touring coupe, offered as a two-door, a convertible, and the four-door Gran Coupe. It's a car that feels more at home on a long, sweeping highway than a tight canyon road, which suits its luxury mission. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-finished, with comfortable seats and plenty of room up front, though rear space is tight in the coupe. Expect premium maintenance costs and the need for run-flat tires, but the 6 Series holds its value reasonably well. The 650i convertible is the one to pick if you want the V8 power and open-air experience; the 640i is the more fuel-efficient choice. Its 4.4L V8 makes 445 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and returns 19 mpg combined.
