Miles Overview
The 1 Series is BMW's entry-level model for 2013, offered as a coupe or convertible. It's a rear-drive car with a naturally balanced feel, and the steering is quick and talkative. The cabin is snug but well laid out, with the coupe's rear seat best left for occasional use. Expect premium fuel and BMW's typical maintenance costs, though the standard maintenance plan helps early on. Its 3.0L I6 makes 230 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, sending power to the rear wheels for a lively, engaging drive. This convertible's power soft top operates quickly, and the cabin stays comfortable with the top down even on cooler days.
