Miles Overview
The 1 Series is BMW's entry-level model, a compact coupe or convertible that prioritizes driving fun over back-seat space. It's a rear-wheel-drive sports car in miniature, with sharp steering and a balanced chassis that makes every drive engaging. The cabin is snug but well-built, with supportive seats and straightforward controls that put the focus on the road. Cargo space is tight, especially in the convertible, so plan for weekend bags rather than a full luggage set. A twin-scroll turbocharger and a stiffer suspension mark the 135i as the hot version of the 1 Series, with 300 horsepower on tap. The 3.0L I6 pairs with a six-speed manual and rear-wheel drive, making it a pure driver's car that returns 23 mpg combined.
