Miles Overview
The 2009 5 Series is BMW's executive sedan, the one that splits the difference between the compact 3 Series and the flagship 7 Series. It's a car that rewards a spirited drive, with sharp steering and a chassis that feels planted through fast corners. Inside, the cabin is driver-focused and well built, with supportive seats and a clean layout that puts controls within easy reach. Expect higher running costs than a mainstream sedan, with premium fuel and BMW-specific parts adding to the ownership bill. The 528i xDrive gives you all-weather grip with BMW's xDrive system, while keeping the base 3.0L six-cylinder engine. You get the same sharp steering and balanced chassis as the rear-drive 528i, just with extra traction on slick roads.
