Miles Overview
The 2016 Z4 is BMW's two-seat roadster, the one you cross-shop with the Boxster and the SLK. It's a sharp, rear-drive sports car that loves a twisty road, and the steering is quick and direct. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how flat it stays through corners. The cabin is snug but well built, and the power hardtop folds away to give you open-air driving in seconds. The sDrive35is sits above the 28i and 35i in the Z4 lineup, adding a sharper chassis tune and more power for the enthusiast. Its 3.0L I6 makes 335 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, routed through a seven-speed automatic to the rear wheels, and it hits 60 mph in about 4.8 seconds. The 35is gets unique 18-inch wheels and a sport exhaust that lets the straight-six sing, but the ride is firmer than the standard car's.
