Miles Overview
The Z4 is BMW's two-seat roadster, the one you cross-shop with the Porsche Boxster and the Audi TT. It's a sharp driver's car, with quick steering and a chassis that feels eager through corners. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how flat it stays when you push it. The retractable hardtop is the party piece, and it folds away to turn the cabin into an open-air cockpit. Its 2.0L I4 makes 241 horsepower and pairs with a six-speed manual, and it's enough to make this roadster feel lively without overwhelming the rear tires. The sDrive28i comes standard with a six-speed manual, which is the enthusiast pick, and it's the only Z4 that doesn't require an automatic as standard.
