Miles Overview
The 2018 5 Series is a midsize luxury sedan that slots between the 3 Series and the 7 Series, competing with the Mercedes-Benz E-Class and Audi A6. The 5 Series balances comfort and agility, with sharp steering and a composed ride that makes it enjoyable on twisty roads. Inside, the cabin is upscale and roomy, with supportive seats and a user-friendly iDrive infotainment system. Reliability is generally good for the 2018 model year, though some owners have reported issues with the cooling system and electronics. Its 4.4L V8 makes 456 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, routed through eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, giving it effortless passing power and all-weather grip. The adaptive M suspension with variable damping is standard here, so you get a firm but controlled ride that tightens up when you push it.
