Miles Overview
The Z4 is BMW's two-seat roadster, a convertible built for sunny days and winding roads rather than daily practicality. It's a proper sports car with sharp steering and a chassis that loves to be pushed, yet it stays composed enough for a long highway cruise. The cabin is snug but well laid out, with a soft-top that folds quickly and keeps wind noise down at highway speeds. Trunk space is modest, so pack light for a weekend trip, but there's enough room for a couple of soft bags. The M40i swaps the sDrive30i's four-cylinder for a 3.0L I6 that makes 382 horsepower, and it keeps rear-wheel drive. Paired with a eight-speed automatic, this Z4 hits 60 in the low four-second range and returns 26 mpg combined. An adaptive M suspension is standard on the M40i, letting you firm up the dampers for track days or soften them for a relaxed cruise.
