Miles Overview
The 8 Series is BMW's large luxury coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe, aimed at buyers who want a grand tourer with serious presence. It drives with the poise you expect from a BMW flagship, feeling planted and confident whether you're cruising or pushing it through corners. Inside, the cabin is trimmed with high-quality materials and offers generous space for two, though rear seats are snug in the coupe and convertible. Every 8 Series gets the latest iDrive system with a large touchscreen, digital instrument cluster, and standard driver assistance features. Stepping up to the M850i xDrive Gran Coupe swaps the 840i's six-cylinder for a V8 and adds standard all-wheel drive, along with bigger brakes and adaptive suspension. The 4.4L I8 makes 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, routed through the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, and returns 19 mpg combined. Option the M carbon ceramic brakes or the M Sport exhaust, and the Gran Coupe is still a four-door that will fit four adults comfortably.
