2021 BMW 8 Series 840i Gran Coupe

The 8 Series is BMW's flagship grand tourer, a large luxury coupe, convertible, or four-door Gran Coupe that prioritizes style and long-distance comfort. On the road it feels planted and composed, with a calm, confident stride that suits highway cruising, and the steering is precise enough to make back roads enjoyable. The ride is on the firm side, especially with larger wheels, but it stays supple enough for daily use, and the seats are exceptionally supportive on long trips. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in high-quality materials and feels genuinely upscale, with comfortable seating for four and a trunk that's generous for the class. The 840i Gran Coupe is the four-door version of BMW's flagship coupe, giving you the sleek profile and a pair of usable rear doors while keeping the price well below the V8-powered M850i. Its 3.0L I6 makes 335 horsepower and pairs with a eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, which is enough to move this big coupe with authority while returning 25 mpg combined.
