Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's full-size flagship sedan, the one that competes with the Mercedes S-Class and Audi A8. It's a big car that shrinks around you on the road, with sharp steering and a chassis that hides its size. The cabin is a quiet, leather-lined place with plenty of rear legroom, and the trunk is generous for a luxury sedan. Running costs run high, especially for the air suspension and electronics, so a well-maintained example matters. The long wheelbase and extra rear legroom set the 745Li apart from the standard 745i. Its 4.4L I8 makes 328 horsepower and pairs with a smooth automatic transmission, giving strong highway passing power. The 745Li's standard air suspension delivers a plush ride, though it's one of the pricier systems to maintain.
