Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, a large luxury car that went head-to-head with the Mercedes S-Class and Lexus LS. It drives with a planted, confident feel on the highway, and the steering is precise enough to make it enjoyable on a winding road. The cabin is spacious and quiet, with supportive seats and high-quality materials throughout. The 740iA is the standard-wheelbase version, so you get the same V8 and luxury as the long 740iL but in a slightly more maneuverable package. Its 4.4L I8 makes 282 horsepower and pairs with a smooth automatic transmission, giving it effortless highway passing and a relaxed cruising character. The standard suspension is tuned for comfort, so expect a soft ride that soaks up bumps well rather than a sporty edge.
