Miles Overview
The 8 Series is BMW's flagship grand tourer, a large two-door offered as a coupe or convertible for 2019. It's a car that eats highway miles with ease, yet it still feels eager when you push it through a set of corners. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in premium materials and the front seats are supportive for long trips, though rear legroom is tight. The standard tech includes BMW's latest iDrive system with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. The M850i is the only 8 Series trim for 2019, so you get the full grand-tourer experience without a cheaper version to compare it to. Its 4.4L V8 makes 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, routed through eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive for confident all-weather grip. The convertible's power soft top operates in 15 seconds at speeds up to 30 mph, and the cabin stays quiet with it up.
