Miles Overview
The 5 Series is BMW's mid-size executive sedan, the one most people cross-shop with the Audi A6 and Mercedes E-Class. It's a car that rewards an eager driver, with precise steering and a chassis that feels planted through fast corners. The ride is on the firm side, especially with the larger wheels, but it stays composed over broken pavement. Inside, the cabin is roomy for four adults, and the trunk is generous for a sedan of this size. The 535d xDrive sits between the 535i and the 550i, giving you diesel efficiency without giving up all-wheel drive. Its 3.0L I6 makes 255 horsepower and a stout 413 lb-ft of torque, paired with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive for effortless highway cruising at 30 mpg combined.
