Miles Overview
The 3 Series is BMW's compact sports sedan, and in 2003 it's the one that set the benchmark for how a small German car should drive. The steering is direct and the chassis balanced, so it's genuinely fun to hustle down a back road, though the ride can get busy over rough pavement. The cabin is driver-focused with clear gauges and quality materials, but rear legroom is tight and the coupe's back seats are best for short trips. You can get it as a sedan, coupe, convertible, or wagon, so there's a body style for most needs, with the wagon being the practical pick. The four-door body and slightly softer suspension tune set the 325i apart from the coupe-focused 325Ci. If you find one with the optional Sport Package, you get firmer suspension, sport seats, and a M-sport steering wheel.
