Miles Overview
The 6 Series is BMW's grand tourer, a two-door coupe or convertible that prioritizes long-distance comfort and style over pure sportiness. It's a relaxed cruiser on the highway, but it still feels planted and composed when you push it through corners. Inside, the cabin is snug for four, but the front seats are supportive and the materials feel premium. Electronics like the iDrive system and window regulators can be finicky as the car ages, so it's worth having them checked. The 645Ci is the sole trim for the 2004 6 Series, so every coupe or convertible you see is one of these. Its 4.4L I8 makes 328 horsepower and sends power to the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic. The convertible version trades a fixed roof for open-air driving, but the coupe's structure feels noticeably tighter on rough roads.
