Miles Overview
The 6 Series is BMW's grand tourer, offered as a coupe or convertible with a focus on long-distance comfort and style. It's a car that rewards smooth inputs, with a chassis that feels composed and planted on sweeping roads. Inside, the cabin is snug for four but the front seats are supportive and the materials feel premium. Reliability is a mixed bag; the electronics and cooling system are known trouble spots as the car ages. A powerful V8 and a focus on luxury set the 645Ci apart as the entry point to the 6 Series lineup, with no trim above it in the coupe range. Its 4.4L I8 produces 325 horsepower and sends it through a six-speed automatic or six-speed manual to the rear-wheel drive, giving it effortless highway passing. The optional Active Steering system sharpens turn-in at low speeds and adds stability on the highway, but it takes a few miles to get used to.
