2008 BMW 6 Series 650i

The 6 Series is BMW's grand touring coupe and convertible, the one you pick when you want a two-door that eats highway miles in comfort. It feels planted and composed at speed, with a smooth ride that flatters long trips more than it begs for back roads. The cabin wraps you in leather and wood, and the front seats are genuinely supportive for hours behind the wheel. Back seats are tight and the trunk is modest, so treat this as a two-seat grand tourer with occasional emergency space. The 650i is the one to pick if you want the V8's extra torque for effortless highway cruising, while the 645i's V8 is slightly smaller. Its 4.8L I8 makes 360 horsepower and sends power to rear-wheel drive through a six-speed automatic, giving it strong passing punch. The convertible's power soft top operates at up to 20 mph, so you can drop it without pulling over.
