Miles Overview
The 8 Series is BMW's large luxury coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe, aimed at buyers who want a grand tourer with serious presence. It's a big car that shrinks around you on a back road, with sharp steering and a chassis that stays composed even when you push it. Inside, the cabin is quiet and trimmed with high-quality materials, and the Gran Coupe's rear seats and trunk make it a practical daily driver. The standard tech includes a large curved display with iDrive, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a head-up display on most trims. All-wheel drive and a standard soft top set the 840i xDrive apart from the rear-drive 840i convertible, while the M850i xDrive adds the V8. The 3.0L I6 makes 335 horsepower and pairs with the eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, giving you confident traction in wet weather and a smooth, linear pull to redline. The convertible's power fabric roof operates at speeds up to 30 mph, so you can drop it without pulling over when the sun breaks through.
