Miles Overview
The 3 Series is BMW's compact luxury sedan, offered this year as a sedan, wagon, coupe, and convertible. It's the benchmark against which the Audi A4 and Mercedes C-Class are measured. The steering feels direct and the chassis is eager, making it a joy on a twisty road. The ride is firm but compliant, a fair trade for the sharp handling. The 335is is the performance flagship of the 3 Series lineup this year, sitting above the 335i and the diesel 335d. Its 3.0L I6 makes 320 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual for a more involving drive. Expect a stiffer suspension and sportier exhaust tuning compared to the standard 335i, which sharpens the car's response at the cost of a firmer ride.
