Miles Overview
The 2002 5 Series is the executive sedan BMW built to balance luxury with real driving engagement. It's a car that feels connected to the road, with precise steering and a chassis that makes you want to take the long way home. Inside, the cabin is driver-focused and well-built, with supportive seats and a clean, functional layout that's held up well over time. Owners praise the engine and transmission durability, but the cooling system and suspension bushings are known wear items to watch for. Its 3.0L I6 makes 225 horsepower and pairs with a smooth automatic transmission to deliver a willing, rev-happy character that suits the chassis.
