Miles Overview
The Z3 is BMW's two-seat roadster from the late '90s and early 2000s, sold as a convertible or a coupe. It's a proper driver's car, with quick steering and a balanced chassis that makes it a joy on twisty roads. The cabin is snug but well laid out, and the trunk is surprisingly roomy for a roadster, so you can fit a weekend's luggage. Owners mention the soft top can leak and the shifter can feel notchy, but the engines are known to be durable. The 2.5i is the entry-level Z3, giving up some power compared to the 3.0i but keeping the same balanced chassis and open-air fun. Its 2.5L I6 makes 184 horsepower, paired with a five-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, and it returns 20 mpg combined. The base 16-inch wheels and smaller brakes are the trade for the lighter curb weight of 2,899 pounds, which helps it feel nimble.
