Miles Overview
The 3 Series is BMW's compact sports sedan, offered as a sedan, coupe, or convertible for 2001. It's the benchmark for driving feel in its class, with direct steering and a chassis that communicates every surface. The ride is firm but compliant, soaking up bumps without ever feeling floaty. The cabin is driver-focused and well-built, though rear seat space is tight in the coupe and convertible. Its 3.0L I6 pulls smoothly from low revs and pairs with a precise manual or automatic transmission, making it a rewarding car to drive every day. The convertible body adds open-air fun but also extra weight and some cowl shake over bumps, so the coupe is the sharper handler.
