2019 BMW 8 Series M850i xDrive

The 8 Series is BMW's flagship grand tourer, a large two-door offered as a coupe or convertible for 2019. It's a car that eats highway miles with ease, yet it still feels eager when you push it through a set of corners. Inside, the cabin is trimmed in premium materials and the front seats are supportive for long trips, though rear legroom is tight. The standard tech includes BMW's latest iDrive system with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen. Stepping up to the M850i xDrive puts BMW's top 8 Series powertrain under the hood, plus standard all-wheel drive and a sharper suspension tune. Its 4.4L V8 makes 523 horsepower and 553 lb-ft of torque, routed through a eight-speed automatic to all four wheels, and returns 20 mpg combined. The M850i xDrive also gets the M Sport exhaust, which lets the V8 breathe more freely without becoming intrusive on the highway.
