Miles Overview
The 1989 3 Series is the compact BMW that set the benchmark for sport sedans. The steering is direct and the chassis feels balanced, making every drive engaging. The cabin is driver-focused with clear gauges and supportive seats, though rear space is tight. Well-maintained examples are known to be durable, but electrical gremlins and cooling system age are common issues. The 325i is the one you want for the convertible experience with BMW's smooth 2.5L I6, not the base model's smaller engine.
