Miles Overview
The 8 Series is BMW's flagship grand tourer, offered as a coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe. It's a car that eats highway miles with ease, yet it still feels eager when you find a winding road. Inside, you get a cabin that's more about driver focus than passenger space, with tight rear quarters in the coupe and convertible. Standard tech includes a crisp digital gauge cluster and a large touchscreen with BMW's iDrive system. If you don't need the M850i's V8, the 840i is the sweet spot for a purer driving experience with its standard RWD setup. The 840i pairs a 3.0L I6 with the eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, good for 335 horsepower and 368 lb-ft of torque.
