Miles Overview
The 3 Series is BMW's compact sports sedan, the one that defined the segment and still sets the benchmark for how a small sedan should drive. It's the car you buy when you want sharp steering and a chassis that feels alive, even on your daily commute. The ride is firm but controlled, which is the trade for how flat it stays in corners. Inside, the cabin is driver-focused with high-quality materials, and the rear seat fits two adults comfortably, though the middle spot is tight. The 328d is the diesel version of the 3 Series, offering better fuel economy than the 330i while still being a rear-wheel-drive sedan. Its 2.0L I4 diesel makes 180 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, for 36 mpg combined. The diesel engine is quiet at highway speeds, so you get the efficiency without the clatter you might expect from an oil-burner.
