2017 BMW 3 Series 330i xDrive

The 3 Series is BMW's compact sports sedan, the one that set the benchmark for how a small luxury car should drive. It's the car that made the segment famous for sharp steering and a willing chassis, and this generation still delivers that. The ride is on the firm side, which is the trade for how well it corners, but it settles down nicely on the highway. Inside, you get a clean, driver-focused cabin with supportive seats and a straightforward layout that's easy to live with. Its 2.0L I4 and eight-speed automatic make for a smooth, responsive powertrain, and the xDrive system adds all-weather grip without dulling the steering feel. The standard Sport Line brings 17-inch alloy wheels and a leather multifunction wheel, but the trade is a firmer ride than the base 320i.
