Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, a full-size luxury cruiser that goes up against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8. It drives with the poise you'd expect from a big BMW, feeling lighter on its feet than its size suggests, and the ride is impressively smooth. Inside, you get a hushed cabin with plenty of room for four, and the rear seats are genuinely comfortable for long trips. The standard iDrive system is one of the easiest to use in the class, and the available gesture controls are a neat party trick. Stepping up from the 740i to the 740i xDrive adds all-wheel drive for better traction in rain or snow, while keeping the same smooth inline-six under the hood. The 3.0L I6 makes 335 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive, which gives you confident acceleration and a composed ride on any surface.
