Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, a full-size luxury cruiser that goes up against the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and Audi A8. It drives with the poise you'd expect from a big BMW, feeling lighter on its feet than its size suggests, and the ride is impressively smooth. Inside, you get a hushed cabin with plenty of room for four, and the rear seats are genuinely comfortable for long trips. The standard iDrive system is one of the easiest to use in the class, and the available gesture controls are a neat party trick. The 740i is the sweet spot for buyers who want the big 7 Series luxury without the higher price, and it's still quick enough to surprise you versus the heavy V8 750i. The standard air suspension keeps things plush, though this trim skips the active anti-roll bars that come on the 750i, so expect a bit more body lean in corners.
