Miles Overview
The 7 Series is BMW's flagship sedan, the one that goes up against the S-Class and A8 with a mix of luxury and sharp driving manners. It's a big car that shrinks around you on a back road, with steering that's more direct than you'd expect from a limousine. The air suspension soaks up rough pavement beautifully, and the cabin stays hushed even at highway speeds. Inside, you get a sprawling, tech-heavy cabin with massaging seats and plenty of room for four adults to stretch out. The 740i is the BMW 7 Series sedan with the six-cylinder engine and rear-wheel drive, stepping up from the 740e plug-in hybrid if you prefer a conventional powertrain. Its 3.0L I6 makes 320 horsepower and 330 lb-ft of torque, paired with a smooth eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive for a 0-60 mph time in the mid-5-second range.
