Miles Overview
The 6 Series is BMW's grand-touring coupe, offered as a two-door, a convertible, and the four-door Gran Coupe. It's a car that feels more at home on a long, sweeping highway than a tight canyon road, which suits its luxury mission. Inside, the cabin is quiet and well-finished, with comfortable seats and plenty of room up front, though rear space is tight in the coupe. Expect premium maintenance costs and the need for run-flat tires, but the 6 Series holds its value reasonably well. The 650i Gran Coupe is the four-door version of the 6 Series, giving you the same V8 power as the coupe with more usable rear seats and easier access. Its 4.4L I8 makes 448 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque, paired with a eight-speed automatic and rear-wheel drive, so it accelerates with real authority and settles into a relaxed cruise on the highway. The Gran Coupe's longer wheelbase gives it a slightly more stable ride than the two-door, and the extra rear legroom makes it a genuine four-passenger grand tourer.
